Chronicles of Depression
A psychological horror drama from The B-Team.
Chronicles of Depression is a psychological horror drama set within the cold, oppressive world of a 1950s British psychiatric institution. Written by Sam Ashurst from a story by Lawrie Brewster, the film follows a series of troubled patients as they are drawn into sessions with a formidable doctor, where memory, trauma, guilt, and fear begin to blur into something far more sinister.
Led by Megan Tremethick and Ian McCulloch, with appearances from Novarro Ramon, Dorian Todd, Michael Daviot, and Sam McMillan, the film places performance at the centre of its horror. Each character brings with them a private wound, and each encounter strips away another layer of pain, repression, and institutional control.
Currently in post-production, Chronicles of Depression continues the British Horror Studio’s commitment to emotionally charged genre cinema: horror rooted not only in atmosphere and dread, but in the fragile human beings trapped inside systems that were never designed to understand them.
