Liv Southard
Actress • Dancer
Liv Southard brings a striking combination of vintage glamour, emotional poise and physical precision to the British Horror Studio repertory. With her old-Hollywood beauty, expressive stillness and finely controlled screen presence, she evokes the elegance of classic cinema while carrying the alertness and strength of a modern performer. Her background in dance, athletics and physical performance gives her work a rare bodily clarity: she can suggest vulnerability, danger, calculation or romantic melancholy through posture, movement and gaze as much as through dialogue.
Within the studio, Southard has quickly emerged as a performer suited to noir, Gothic romance and heightened melodrama. In Lawrie Brewster’s 1950s film noir Black Chariot, produced by Hex Studios, she plays Jess, a streetwise young woman whose presence belongs naturally to the shadowed world of crime, desire and moral uncertainty. In the forthcoming follow-up to Spoiling You, she gives a memorable physical performance as Celeste, bringing movement, tension and emotional intensity to one of the studio’s most unsettling new works.
Southard also appears in the eighteenth-century Gothic romance Sawney, currently in post-production, as Elizabeth, a faithful young nurse drawn into a world of suffering, devotion and dark legend. For Amicus Productions, she appears in In the Grip of Terror, further connecting her to the British Horror Studio’s revival of classic anthology horror. Across these roles, she represents one of the studio’s most promising young screen presences: romantic, watchful, physically expressive and alive to the haunted glamour of British horror.

“A vintage screen presence of beauty, poise and physical precision, made for noir shadows and Gothic romance.”
