Jane Merrow

Jane Merrow brings a remarkable legacy of British stage and screen to the British Horror Studio. A Golden Globe nominee for her performance as Alais in the Oscar-winning historical drama The Lion in Winter, opposite Peter O’Toole and Katharine Hepburn, Merrow’s career spans classical theatre, British television, Hollywood film, and the Gothic tradition of Hammer horror. Trained at RADA and recognised as the first female student at the National Youth Theatre, she represents a lineage of dramatic craft deeply aligned with the studio’s reverence for classical performance.

In Amicus Productions’ In the Grip of Terror, Merrow plays Matron Margaret, a commanding nurse and institutional authority figure opposite Megan Tremethick.
