Lord of Tears

The Gothic nightmare that began the Owlman mythos.
Lord of Tears is a haunting Gothic ghost story of memory, childhood terror, and ancient things waiting in the dark. When a schoolteacher returns to the remote Scottish manor of his youth, he is drawn back into the mystery of his forgotten past, the death of his mother, and the terrifying figure that has watched him since childhood: the Owlman.

Starring David Schofield, Euan Douglas, Alexandra Nicole Hulme, and Lexy Hulme, Lord of Tears helped establish the eerie, romantic, and folklore-driven identity of Hex Studios. With its lonely landscapes, occult dread, and unforgettable owl-headed apparition, the film remains one of the studio’s defining early works: a strange and sorrowful nightmare about inheritance, sacrifice, and the things that remember us.

“An engaging, deeply unsettling ghost story.” — Starburst
