Callum Alexander Wright
Actor
Callum Alexander Wright is one of the British Horror Studio’s most loyal and promising developing performers, a dear friend of Lawrie Brewster and B-Team producer Paul William Kelly, whose commitment to the studio has extended far beyond acting. Having supported productions behind the camera and within the wider practical life of the studio, Wright now steps more fully into performance, bringing with him traditional theatre training, a deep love of history and cinema history, and a tall, striking screen presence touched with something of Robert Mitchum’s ominous masculine stillness.
Within the studio, Wright is seen as an actor of considerable untapped potential: brooding, handsome, physical, and possessed of a faintly aristocratic air that gives him an almost princely quality on screen. He has appeared as Police Constable Blackwell in Megan Tremethick’s Spoiling You, delivered extensive creature work as Ill’ Reth in The Slave and the Sorcerer, and is associated with the role of Lord Blackwell in The Reign of Queen Ginnarra. As he continues his training with the British Horror Studio, Callum Alexander Wright represents a type of actor the company is eager to cultivate: historically minded, physically imposing, emotionally brooding, and shaped by the old heroic traditions of cinema.

“A brooding, historically minded screen presence with the air of an old-world gentleman hero.”
