The Slave and the Sorcerer

A sword-and-sorcery adventure from Hex Studios.
The Slave and the Sorcerer is a pulpy, romantic, and wildly entertaining sword-and-sorcery adventure made in tribute to the fantasy cinema of the 1980s. Set in a world of cursed kingdoms, sinister magic, monstrous creatures, and impossible quests, the film follows Tyrol, an enslaved warrior, as he is drawn into a dangerous mission to rescue Princess Meyra from the clutches of the sorcerer Arakis.

Starring Chris Black, Briony Monroe, Jonathan Hansler, Chris Capaldi, Stephen Kerr, Andrew Gourlay, Calum “Caz” Paul, and the Hex Studios repertory, The Slave and the Sorcerer embraces the colour, humour, danger, and strange magic of old fantasy cinema. With roguish heroes, villainous sorcerers, demonic creatures, courtly excess, and a loving sense of genre nostalgia, the film stands as one of the studio’s most joyous tributes to cult adventure filmmaking.

“This magical valentine to a once thriving genre…” — Film Threat

“Worthy of being viewed alongside the ’80s classics.” — Life Between Frames

“A triumph as much as it is a tribute.” — Film Threat
